A new study by Media-Screen found that broadband users spend half their weekday spare time online (eMarketer story here). As part of the survey, respondents were asked to indicate their top regular spare time activities. Of the top four activities mentioned, three were conducted online:
1) Email
2) Visiting websites
3) Watching television
4) Playing games online

For many people, TiVo has eliminated the need for a child to program their VCR (as the old joke goes). But according to a new research report, adults ask kids to complete a wide range of online tasks: research movies, plan parties, make travel plans, get driving directions and even complete their income taxes.

I saw the story yesterday about Chrysler being bought by private equity firm Cerberus for $7.4 billion dollars. It just seems profoundly sad to me that this once great American car company went at a rummage sale price. I mean it was almost exactly nine years ago that Chrysler was worth $38 billion in stock in their merger with Daimler-Benz.
