A Nielsen/NetRatings report highlighted last month on Search Engine Watch showed Google with a 2 to 1 share lead for online searches over its next closest competitor, Yahoo. Google had about a 46 percent share of the search market while Yahoo had just over 23 percent. MSN came in third at around 11 percent.
However, according to a newly released survey from BIGresearch, the volume of searches does not correlate directly with a search engine’s influence on purchase behavior.

Apple announced yet another of its special events, this one only a short time away on February 28th. Of course the rumor sites bandwidth goes up whenever these events occur and this time there doesn’t seem to be any clear winner though the “real” video iPod or another intel-based machine — the iBook or Mini — are the most likely unless Steve has something entirely new hidden up his sleeve.

The new NBC show ‘Conviction’ which won’t debut on TV until after the Olympics have finished is already available from the iTunes store — and it’s even free. I’ve said before that I would gladly pay to be able to download some of my favorite shows prior to them airing on TV so I think this is great. NBC seems to enjoy its experiment with iTunes so far and I hope this is successful as well. Let’s see more of the same from them and the other networks, by the way when is Fox going to cave in and join the party?
