Gee, Thanks for the Tip Microsoft
byMicrosoft is advising Mac users of IE5 that they should move to alternative browsers such as Apple’s Safari or the open-source Firefox as they are formally ending support for IE5. Microsoft stopped working on the browser this past June and plans to pull it from the Mactopia site at the end of January. I’d be surprised if anybody anywhere is going to cry about this, in fact I bet there are a few Web developers that plan to celebrate as this means one less browser to officially have to deal with.
Was anyone other than hardcore HTML coders even using Mac IE5 for anything other than checking their code anymore? Anyway, thank you Microsoft for an early Christmas present.

Today I tested msn.com on IE5/Mac and after various JScripterrors I was brought to a page with the title “Why does MSN look like this? Time to move the IE icon out of my dock.
