Goodbye Randy Pausch

Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon, passed away yesterday at the age of 47. I saw Randy’s story this past Christmas when his “Last Lecture” video was posted on YouTube. You may have seen the story of his passing on other websites yesterday and today. I really encourage you to absorb the full weight of his Last Lecture message: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.
It is comforting to know the technology that we now take for granted, and permits us to effortlessly access the thoughts of others, in no way hinders – and in fact contributes to – our emotional bonds as human beings. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, students, colleagues and the millions he has reached with his message.
By the way, the Last Lecture is now also a book.
