Google Notifier for Mac. No Windows Version?
byI completely adore Gmail and would use it for 100% of my mailing needs if I wasn’t tied to an unmentionable enterprise mail solution I’m forced into using at work. But that’s beside the point. Google has updated Gmail Notifier to include functionality for Google Calendar and renamed the handy utility Google Notifier, which I assume is due to its extended usefulness for some. Personally, I haven’t been able to get myself to fall for Gcal the same as I’ve fallen for Gmail, so the additional notifications won’t do much for me. It is interesting, and a bit odd, that Google hasn’t released this small yet excellent piece of software for Windows users yet. I’m sure it’s on the way.
The only downside I see is it no longer works with Growl for system wide notifications. Oh well, maybe in the next update.
