The Contextual Web Is Coming And Mobile Is At The Heart Of It
byExcuse the fact that this presentation deck is 320 slides: a virtual summary white paper on the mobile revolution to come. And pardon the fact that a few of the slides are difficult to read. In spite of these minor distractions, this presentation from Brian Fling is a good compilation and expansion of other information I’ve seen regarding the impact mobile will have on our society.
Brian’s presents a compelling case for mobile. There is a lot of information that can serve as a conversation starter for anybody (or company) that wants to understand the potential impact of the mobile wave. Some items I found helpful and/or intriguing:
• His Jargon Alert...learn the language of mobile
• Mobile’s key role in the contextual Web: a media that can know where you are and what you are doing.
• Mobile as the 7th mass media
• The five unique benefits of mobile
• Google’s (Android) and Apple’s (iPhone) central role in the mobile transformation
It would also be helpful to check out Sara Litton’s post on the subject last week.
