We’re Changing the World, One Pair of Jeans at a Time
Sundog has partnered with Vanity Corporation to participate in a nationwide denim recycling drive called COTTON – FROM BLUE TO GREEN™ in which donated denim is made into environmentally-friendly insulation. The natural cotton insulation is used to rebuild homes in communities destroyed by hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. Since 2006, the program has produced enough insulation to build homes for 100 families in America’s Gulf Coast region.
500 Pairs of Jeans = 1 House
While the national collection goal is 100,000 pairs of jeans, each local store goal is to collect 500 pairs before November 3rd, 2009. Sundog’s individual goal is 100 pairs and after just two weeks, employees have donated more than 80 denim items.
We invite you to join our efforts by sharing this cause with your coworkers, friends and family. Holes in the knees, ripped pockets, too big, too small – doesn’t matter, we’ll take them all and turn them into a cozy home for someone who needs it.
What To Do With Your Donated Jeans
All of their 200 stores across the country are accepting donations. Check their store locator to find a Vanity near you. As a thank you, you’ll receive a 25% discount coupon toward a new pair of Vanity Jeans for every pair brought in for recycling.
