Android 2.2 JavaScript Performance Leaves iOS4 In The Dust

Ars Technica recently compared JavaScript performance between Android 2.2 and iOS4, and it turns out that there really is no comparison. Android 2.2 destroyed iOS4 (and every other OS - including Android 2.1 - for that matter).

JavaScript performance: Android 2.2 vs iOS 4

The mobile web browser included as part of the Android 2.2 (FroYo) release is two to three times faster than Apple’s mobile Safari browser included in iOS4, and three times faster than the mobile browser included in the previous version of Android. Android also made significant performance improvements in its runtime environment, making the operating system itself the fastest mobile OS available.
