Inviting PR to your Social Strategy
Much has been written about social media including many blogs here at Sundog. I found it interesting that a recent study done by USC has shown a large amount of authority and budget control is going to PR departments within companies. At Sundog, we tend to focus more on other marketing activities, but realize the importance of inviting PR to the table, especially at the beginning of any social strategy.
With Social CRM, you are interacting with customers via sales, marketing and customer service channels much like you have in the past, but now the customer has control on how that experience is broadcast to their social channels.
Jacob Morgan recently led a presentation to a PRSA group that interlaced PR with SCRM. It advocates both PR in your overall brand and the importance to empower all of your employees to be champions of your brand. His talk can be found below.
